About The Position

We are seeking a Parking Attendant to oversee activities in the parking lot. This role involves leading guests to open spots, maximizing parking space utilization, providing directions to motorists, patrolling the lot, and assisting with payments. The position requires availability for Saturday shifts (typically starting around 3:00 or 4:00 PM, depending on events) and Sunday shifts from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM. During the hockey season, approximately 20-30 hours per week are expected. A significant portion of this role will be performed outdoors.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience working as a parking attendant.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to speak clearly and relate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Confident, reliable, punctual, and proactive individual.
• Ability to effectively handle stressful situations and critical issues with good decision-making.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions for extended periods of time.
• Availability to work varied shifts, especially evenings (4-11 PM), including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, including maneuvering up and down stairs.
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe, hazard-free, and clean parking environment.
• Maintain the operation of the parking lot and ensure guests receive high-quality service.
• Greet guests and provide information and direction as needed.
• Identify possible risks and resolve conflicts.
• Carry out regular patrols of the parking area and issue notices of payment to customers for non-compliance.
• Regularly clean the parking lot to ensure it is tidy and organized, including sweeping, wiping down surfaces and equipment, and emptying trash.
• Respond to reports concerning damage to equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
