About The Position

West Chester Borough is a thriving community with a population of 20,000+ located in the center of Chester County PA. It is the seat of County government and home to West Chester University. This position is located in the Department of Parking and is supervised by the Director & Assistant Director of Parking. All duties are performed in accordance with Borough policies and guidelines. Any problems or questions that may arise are directed to the Director of Parking.

Requirements

  • The incumbent must become familiar with all parking ordinances of the Borough of West Chester.
  • Must be in good physical condition to be able to perform assigned duties which entail walking for most their work shift.
  • Must have strong communicative skills.
  • Must be a high school graduate.
  • Must be enrolled in or completed a degree in communications, marketing or related field.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Create high-quality, on-brand, engaging content for all social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and more.
  • Produce a variety of content types, including but not limited to posts, photography, videos, graphics, long-form streaming, and shorts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail and design.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to follow directions about on-site procedures and behavior precisely and comprehensively.
  • Initiative to communicate clearly and routinely with other staff and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Create tailored engagement strategies for the Parking Services Department social media accounts.
  • Create high-quality, on-brand, engaging content for all social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and more.
  • Produce a variety of content types, including but not limited to posts, photography, videos, graphics, long-form streaming, and shorts.
  • Coordinate with the local courts and constables regarding warrants and citations.
  • Track court related costs and revenue electronically.
  • Be professional, courteous, and tactful with the public.
  • Perform any department related duty as assigned.
  • The incumbent will be made aware of all the deadlines and the normal order they should be completed.
