About The Position

The Parking Manager is responsible for overseeing daily business operations, ensuring adequate staffing and provisioning of the location. This role involves maintaining continuous communication with clients, customers, and corporate leadership. Key duties include ensuring a clean and well-maintained business environment with accurate and visible signage and rates. The manager will generate reports for upper management and clients, participate in hiring, training, coaching, and counseling team members to meet performance standards, and maximize profitability by controlling expenses and managing staff efficiently. Responsibilities also include approving timecards, managing labor hours, processing revenue, creating and managing annual budgets and expenditures, compiling sales data for audits, resolving customer and employee complaints, managing vendor relationships for supplies, reporting maintenance and equipment issues, and ensuring efficient traffic flow within the parking areas. The Parking Manager must ensure that parking policies and procedures meet expectations and is an integral part of the team management process. Effective communication with property management, site managers, customers, and guests is vital. The role requires embodying a family-like atmosphere by treating all individuals with respect, empathy, and courtesy, and providing exceptional service by exceeding guest expectations. While management is primary, the role also demands mindfulness of operational efficiency and overseeing various aspects of the location's operations.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of managerial experience.
  • Experience preparing and working within a budget.
  • Strong understanding of business management, financial, and leadership principles.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to work in a high-energy environment, handle multiple tasks, and work within time constraints.
  • Ability to analyze processes and information, identify problems and trends, and develop effective solutions and strategies.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional service to customers and support to staff members.
  • Knowledge of and working skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations.

  • Physical ability to move quickly and lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs.)

Nice To Haves

  • A 4-year college degree is preferred but not required.
  • Previous valet or customer service experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Delegate responsibilities and supervise business operations.
  • Monitor location activity and ensure it is properly provisioned and staffed.
  • Maintain continual communication with the client, customers, and corporate leadership.
  • Maintain a clean business environment, including ensuring that signage and displays are appropriately positioned, visible, and updated with accurate rates.
  • Generate reports and present information to upper-level managers and/or Clients upon request.
  • Participate in the hiring, training, coaching, and counseling process of team members to ensure that performance standards are met.
  • Maximize profitability by controlling expenses and efficiently manage operational staff.
  • Approve timecards and manage labor hours.
  • Process revenue, create, and manage an annual budget and expenditures.
  • Compile location sales data and coordinate with the Company’s audit team to ensure all revenue is captured timely and accurately.
  • Resolve conflicts or complaints from customers and employees.
  • Work with vendors to ensure that the property is adequately supplied.
  • Report all maintenance and equipment repairs to the client and assist as needed.
  • Manage the parking areas and ensure an efficient traffic flow through the location.
  • Ensure that parking policies and procedures meet expectations.
  • Be an integral part of the hiring, training, coaching and counseling processes, to ensure that performance standards are met.
  • Maintain constant communication property management, site manager, customers, and guests.
  • Treat all individuals with respect, empathy, and courtesy, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Go above and beyond to exceed guest expectations, assisting with luggage, providing directions, and offering assistance whenever needed.
  • Be mindful of operational efficiency.
  • Oversee many parts of a location’s operation.
