About The Position

The Parking & Lot Attendant is responsible for daily operational activities of the entrance and exit gate for the Installation Materiel Maintenance Division Compound. The Parking Lot Attendant controls authorized entry and use of lot, refers parking related problems arising within the facility to appropriate authorities for appropriate actions.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to pass the standard background check.
  • Must be able to successful pass a pre-employment drug test.
  • Must have a valid REAL ID State Driver’s License with no restrictions.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a NACI Tier 1 Public Trust.
  • Must be able to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship, such as a birth certificate or a U.S. Passport.
  • Must be able to maintain driving privileges aboard the Fort Bragg Installation.
  • Organizational skills, ability to prioritize, perform with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Possess high ethical standards and demonstrate professionalism.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team-based, highly collaborative environment.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Ability to effectively interact and communicate with customers and visitors.

Responsibilities

  • Controls the entrance and exit gates at the Installation Maintenance Division Compound.
  • Refers parking related issues arising within the facility to appropriate authorities for administrative actions.
  • Records information for equipment and visitors during entrance and exit of the compound
  • Unlocks main gate and building at the beginning of the work day. Includes unlocking main gates and major perimeter doors to the facility).
  • Secures main gate and building at the end of the work day. Includes locking all gates, walking the compound perimeter to ensure all doors/ bays are closed/locked, and all visitors and visitor vehicle are out of compound.
  • Assists with compound and facility cleaning tasks.
  • May be required to physically move plastic barrier parking cones multiple times during a shift.
  • May be required to police customer/employee parking lot of trash and debris.
  • Prepares & maintains documents for issue, return, and receipt of vehicles, storage containers, and other various equipment as required.
  • Ensures designated customer parking slots are available for customers only.
  • Cleans guard shack every day to include: (bathroom, refrigerator, and microwave).
  • Interact with visitors and customers in a cordial and respectful manner.
  • Directs visitors to the appropriate location or personnel on the compound as required.
