About The Position

The Parking Garage Supervisor is responsible for monitoring designated streets, lots, garages, and other public areas or an entire campus to ensure compliance with parking policies. This role involves providing excellent customer service, participating in satisfaction improvement programs, and contributing to the development of financial and operational goals. The supervisor will manage day-to-day activities, including customer interaction, closing reports, supervising frontline staff, scheduling, and inspecting parking equipment. They will also troubleshoot and repair PARC's systems and arm gates, assist with maintenance, report incidents, and handle vehicle impoundments or boots. The position requires strong judgment, tact, and diplomacy, especially when working alone or responding to emergencies outside of scheduled hours. The role also involves reconciling tickets and cashier reports, understanding and operating parking equipment, conducting daily inspections, and preparing revenue reports.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by answering questions regarding directions, events, building locations and parking policies.
  • Participate in programs to improve client and customer satisfaction.
  • Engage in the development of property level financial and operations goals.
  • Assist in the management of day-to-day activities of the assigned locations including ensuring appropriate customer interaction, supervising the completion of all evening closing reports, supervising frontline staff, scheduling staff, inspecting all onsite parking equipment. Assuring all PARC’S system troubleshooting and replacing arm gates.
  • Courteously assist Customers by answering any question they may have.
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of parking equipment and any general maintenance tasks as directed by the Operations/Facility Manager.
  • Report any known accidents, observe or suspected violations of Company policy, safety hazards or any unusual occurrence to the Operations/Facility Manager.
  • Assist with cleanup of debris, water, snow, oil spills and etc.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of all areas of the garage, through knowledge of the major streets, landmarks, and freeways in the area of the garage.
  • Assist Operations/Facility Manager with other duties as needed.
  • Issue citations and warnings for non-compliance with a computerized handheld computer or manual tickets. Impound, boot, or relocating vehicles as directed.
  • Reconciling parking tickets and required cashiers reports according to generally accepted parking operation auditing principles and in accordance with the policies set forth.
  • Available and able to respond to emergency situations during normally scheduled "off duty hours".
  • Understand and able to use the current and proposed equipment and any other equipment used in the parking operation.
  • Must have strong working knowledge of the use, repair, programming, limitations and capabilities of the parking.
  • Garages Daily Inspections and all PARC’s systems audit. Report on any conditions that need attention and repair/troubleshoot the PARC’s System. Repair parking equipment as needed
  • Prepare revenue reporting on a daily, monthly and yearly basis
  • Supervise the day-to-day activities of all onsite employees (Cashiers, Maintenance, Floaters, Special Event, etc.).
  • Assist maintenance staff with duties related to parking program and facility upkeep and maintenance. This includes but is not limited to inspecting and assessing lots for maintenance issues, painting, cleaning, and repairing parking meters and pay and display machines, installing signs, signposts, and meter posts.
  • Assist in the collection and security of all monies received through parking citation, multi-parking space, TEXT2PARK technology, Flash PARC’s parking equipment and any other means of collecting parking revenues and fees.
  • Assist event staff with activities related to parking for events. This includes but is not limited to setting up for events, traffic control, receipt of payment for parking, and lot usage control.
  • Assist office staff with activities related to permit sales during peak seasons. This includes but is not limited to data entry, collating mailings, and providing frontline customer service.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
