About The Position

This is a full-time Parking Garage Operations-General Enforcement position on the 2nd shift (3 PM to 11 PM), Wednesday to Sunday, in Asheville. The role involves maintaining the cleanliness and operational status of the parking garage, including trash disposal, equipment repair, cleaning, and providing support during various weather conditions. The position requires the ability to perform manual labor, work in adverse weather, and interact positively with customers.

Requirements

• Must be able to work in inclement weather
• Willingness and ability to perform manual labor
• Must be able to perform occasional or continuous heavy manual labor and work all day at laborious and strenuous tasks under adverse weather conditions
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
• Mechanical capabilities and ability to acquire skill in the use of required tools and equipment
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing
• Ability to understand, follow, transmit, and carry out assigned tasks on the basis of written and oral instructions
• Ability to establish effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, and the public
• Must be thoroughly safety conscious, taking precautionary measures when performing duties
• Must be dependable
• Must have clean background/drug screen and motor vehicle record check
• Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Must have your own reliable transportation to go between the garages in Asheville

• Maintenance/janitorial experience: 1 year

Responsibilities

• Dispose of trash from garage and picking up trash
• Enforcement
• Repair and maintain parking equipment
• Operate the garage floor sweeper and pressure washer
• Keep all levels of the parking garage clean and debris free
• Change light bulbs
• Painting
• Leaf blowing and possibly landscaping
• Provide winter weather support (snow and ice removal)
• Perform emergency duties as required
• Interface with customers and provide excellent customer service in the drive lanes as well as over the intercoms
