About The Position

This is a seasonal position focused on the day-to-day supervision of staff and coordination of events during winter seasons, including parking, traffic control, sign maintenance, and trash control. The role emphasizes guest service and the physical appearance of parking facilities, working closely with the Parking Supervisor to ensure a seamless entry and exit experience for all visitors to Copper Mountain.

Requirements

  • Must be able to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.
  • Possession of a valid U.S. Driver’s license.
  • Required to stand, walk for long periods of time in a high alpine environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year Supervisory experience
  • 1 year Parking experience in an event or resort setting
  • Must be at least 18 years old

  • Cash handling
  • Tourism/Resort or Theme Park operations experience preferred but not required.
  • Supervisory experience helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with the parking operations supervisor and other foremen on daily staffing assessments to ensure adequate staffing in the most cost-efficient manner.
  • Supervise the transition from full parking areas to more remote areas, supporting staff efforts to route guests directly.
  • Maintain adequate supplies of change, trail maps, pens, etc., in all pay parking booths.
  • Provide breaks for pay booth personnel throughout the day.
  • Perform daily light maintenance and repairs to all equipment, tools, and vehicles assigned to the department, coordinating repairs with the vehicle maintenance department.
  • Assist in the supervision and maintenance of all parking and unload facilities, including proper signage and traffic flow patterns, ensuring a consistent, safe environment.
  • Repair, rebuild, maintain, and upgrade all village fixed and portable fixtures, including trash enclosures, benches, and all village signage as needed for the parking and traffic control operation.
  • Assist in the daily operation, administration, and supervision of the parking crew during winter operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of car counts, permits, and daily cash logs to ensure the integrity of the pay parking operation.
  • Work in coordination with the Colorado State Patrol to ensure adequate traffic control during peak traffic hours.
  • Work with the Copper Mountain Transportation department to ensure smooth operation and flow of the resort’s shuttle system.
  • Supervise the set up and staffing of the CO Highway 91 safety cone zone to maximize convenience and safety on high volume skier days.
  • Direct parking staff to ensure each lot is parked efficiently and in a customer-friendly manner.
  • Respond to and diffuse difficult guest relations problems, working towards achieving the highest level of guest service from all parking crew members.
  • Provide training to all parking personnel.
  • Review the performance of all parking personnel.
  • Help to oversee the entire Parking Operations department.
  • Functions as an ambassador of Copper Mountain, modeling and sharing the Copper “culture” with guests and employees.
  • Upholds the most professional image.
  • Continually strives to exceed guest expectations and create memories for guests and staff.
