About The Position

The University of New Hampshire is seeking a Parking Enforcement Officer to patrol assigned zones of campus on foot, identify parking violations, and take necessary enforcement actions. This role involves enforcing permit, meter, and other parking regulations, issuing tickets, and maintaining a thorough understanding of University of New Hampshire parking regulations. The officer will also be expected to stay informed about contemporary parking issues, detect and report parking lot deficiencies, obstructed spaces, and missing signage. Additionally, the position includes responding to complaint calls, enforcing the winter parking ban when applicable, and assisting with large events on campus as a parking attendant.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record are required
  • All applicants must undergo a motor vehicle record release as this position requires driving a university vehicle

Responsibilities

  • Patrol assigned zones of campus, on foot, for parking violations and take necessary enforcement action.
  • Enforce permit, meter and other violations and issue tickets.
  • Develop and maintain a full understanding of University of New Hampshire parking regulations.
  • Be familiar with contemporary parking issues and concerns.
  • Detect and report parking lot deficiencies, obstructed spaces and missing signage.
  • Responding to complaint calls and enforcing the winter parking ban, when applicable.
  • Assisting with large events on campus, by working as a parking attendant.
  • All other duties as assigned.
