About The Position

The Parking Attendant provides customer service to patrons and facilitates the flow of traffic through the gate by performing the following duties. The CRVA works to deliver experiences that uniquely enrich the lives of our visitors and residents. Through leadership in destination development, marketing and venue management expertise, the CRVA leads efforts to maximize the region’s economic potential through visitor spending, creating jobs and opportunities for the community. Brands supported by the CRVA include the Charlotte Convention Center, Spectrum Center, Bojangles Entertainment Complex, NASCAR Hall of Fame, Charlotte Film Commission, Visit Charlotte and Visitor Info Centers.

Requirements

A High School Diploma or GED equivalent and a minimum of 1 year related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule which may consist of nights, weekends and/or holidays.
Must be able to work outside in the elements for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

Provides directions to customers for various locations in the city.
Resolves customer complaints independently or with the aid of a supervisor.
Provides quality customer service to patrons.
Maintains a professional appearance.
Assists patrons with accessible parking locations and needs.
Directs patrons to designated parking spaces/locations within lot.
Coordinates with off-duty police traffic management to assist when needed.
Responsible for placement of cones and other traffic devices in locations as designated for traffic control by Parking Manager.
