About The Position

The City of Huntsville’s Parking department is seeking qualified applicants to fill our Parking Attendant position(s). This is a labor position in the Parking Division of Parking and Transit. Work involves preparing the city garages/lots for parking cars during events. Provides assistance to customers to include answering questions and providing general information to include directions, explaining charges, and other related information; refers non-routine customer-related problems to their supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma from a school accredited by a regional accrediting agency recognized by the US Department of Education or GED certificate issued by the appropriate state agency.
• Some experience as a cashier.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Preparing the city garages/lots for parking cars during events.
• Providing assistance to customers, including answering questions and providing general information such as directions and explaining charges.
• Referring non-routine customer-related problems to their supervisor.
