About The Position

North Carolina FC Youth (NCFC Youth) is a non-profit youth soccer organization that serves over 16,000 players annually, offering a wide range of programming from recreational to elite competition. NCFC Youth also hosts tournaments, camps, and events to enhance player development. The organization is supported by over 1,700 personnel and, in collaboration with the professional North Carolina Football Club, forms the largest youth-to-professional club in the country. Since 1974, NCFC Youth has been dedicated to its mission of providing positive, high-quality soccer opportunities and serving as a community partner, guided by core values of fun, excellence, community, innovation, and passion. The Park Ranger role is crucial for maintaining the safety and operational efficiency of WRAL Soccer Park, contributing to game and practice operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Must possess a valid North Carolina Driver’s License
  • Some experience in the use of power tools, machines, and heavy equipment
  • Able to adhere to OSHA safety requirements and standards
  • Frequent contact with local citizens and other employees within the department, requiring tact and judgment
  • Detail-oriented
  • Must maintain professionalism in all manners while remaining flexible, yet dependable
  • Requires a background check upon offer, along with continued annual background checks.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a front-line ambassador for members, guests and staff while providing a safe environment
  • Remain in constant communication with Athletic Fields Superintendent
  • Patrol park for safety concerns/issues
  • Patrol park to keep the public off fields
  • Clean up litter and empty trash/recycle cans
  • Open/close the park
  • Assist with practice and game day operations
  • Help perform light maintenance on soccer equipment (goals, fields, flags, etc.)
