Requirements

High school diploma, GED or equivalency.
Related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
No experience required.
Must have a current valid class "C" driver's license from the Texas Department of Public Safety with a satisfactory driving record.
Attentive monitoring skills.

Responsibilities

Assist visitors.
Maintain parks and ensure proper usage within facilities.
Monitor park activity.
Enforce proper usage of playground equipment, picnic facilities, public restrooms, and other park amenities.
Implement rules and regulations as set by City ordinance.
Perform maintenance work as needed, including stocking restrooms, general clean-up of park areas, painting, and general repair work.
Assist with maintenance and inspection reports.
Perform simple landscaping tasks as needed.
Manage the opening and closing of the park.
Provide assistance and support to other divisions within the department as needed.
