About The Position

This temporary 26-week Acting Capacity Park Ranger position will assist in the preparation, placement, and maintenance of navigational aids on 40 water bodies throughout Maine. Daily activities require a basic mechanical understanding, ability to drive a truck with a boat trailer, and be able to spend long days on the road/water while servicing inland navigational aids on lakes/ponds. Requirements

  • Education, training, and/or experience in park operations or maintenance, or another closely related field.
  • Basic mechanical understanding.
  • Ability to drive a truck with a boat trailer.
  • Three references with address and telephone number must be provided and made available at the interview to include at least one work-related reference.
  • Verification of credentials, criminal records, and driver’s license check if applicable.
