Requirements

  • Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, holidays) and regular attendance necessary
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Ability to communicate clearly
  • Ability to deal with uncertain situations, possess good judgment and think objectively
  • Must be dependable and have emotional control
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required

Nice To Haves

  • Surveillance and reporting experience preferred
  • One-year experience as a Security Guard/Officer or similar role preferred
  • First Aid/CPR/AED Certification is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests and provide helpful, professional assistance throughout the property
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with guests, team members, management, and emergency personnel when appropriate
  • Follow the Emergency Action Plan and immediately notify the appropriate supervisor or emergency agency when required
  • Establish effective, professional, and efficient radio communication with all SMPA Team Members
  • Establish presence by securing premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points, and permitting entry
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all personnel, visitors, and the premises
  • Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities and informing violators of policy and procedures
  • Secure all exits, doors, and windows after close of operations
  • Check surveillance cameras periodically to identify disruptions or unlawful acts
  • Respond to alarms and react in a timely manner
  • Follow all company service, safety, and operating standards
  • Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences
  • Do not take action beyond assigned authority or training; request assistance when an incident requires management, police, fire, or EMS support
  • Performs other duties assigned by management
