About The Position
Become a part of our dedicated team as a seasonal Park Maintenance Worker and assist with the upkeep of Ohiopyle State Park! The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) is hiring team members to assist in a variety of manual and semi-skilled labor tasks that are essential for maintaining the park's grounds and facilities. Responsibilities may include landscaping, cleaning, and performing minor repairs to ensure that the park remains safe and enjoyable for visitors. Requirements
- One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction
- An equivalent combination of experience and training
- Meet the PA residency requirement
- Able to perform essential job functions
- Submission of criminal history reports will be required for a conditional offer of employment
Responsibilities
- Make basic repairs to park buildings and facilities using carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and related trades tools
- Mow grass, cut brush, clean paved areas, plant trees, load materials, and maintain turf areas
- Operate tractors, skid steers, zero turns, dump trucks, and other park equipment
- Clean restrooms, sanitize facilities, service specialized Clivus-Multrum systems, and maintain cleanliness
- Paint signs and buildings, clear drains and culverts, empty trash, assist with concrete work, and shovel snow
- Provide helpful information to park visitors and complete required forms and records
