About The Position

This opportunity is for the County Grounds Service Center. The role involves on-call duties for snow/ice control, 24/7, with potential for earlier starts and weekend work as needed. The primary work area includes the Government Center and Expo Center grounds. Core workdays are Mondays through Fridays, 5 am to 1 pm, with days and hours subject to change based on weather and workload. Overtime and compensatory time may be available depending on the budget.

Requirements

High school graduation or GED equivalent
Possession of a valid Class 'A' Commercial Driver's License from the State of Wisconsin within twelve (12) months of date of hire (required for County Grounds Service Center and Natural Land Management assignments)
Possess the physical and mental abilities to perform the essential job functions

Previous experience in park maintenance work is desirable
