About The Position
Fall into a fulfilling role within the City of Eagan as a seasonal Park Maintenance Laborer! We are looking for enthusiastic people from all backgrounds and levels of experience, to maintain and beautify Eagan's Parks this fall season. No experience necessary, just bring your positive attitude and enthusiasm to learn and grow. Get hands-on experience, training, and all the tools you need to make a difference in our community's green spaces and parks.
Requirements
- 18 years of age or older by first date of employment
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and work in all weather conditions
- Must be able to communicate effectively with the public and co-workers
- Ability to perform all essential functions of the position under the working conditions described
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in grounds maintenance, janitorial work, or light construction
- Commercial driver’s license
Responsibilities
- Operating hand mowers, weed whips, riding mowers, tractors, and leaf blowers.
- Litter removal, shelter/restroom and building maintenance and cleaning.
- Assist in the maintenance of the City’s athletic fields at various parks and athletic complexes.
- Preparing athletic fields for play, chalking lines, litter removal, and restroom cleaning.
- Assist other city staff as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
