About The Position

The Park Maintenance III is responsible for providing semi-skilled heavy manual labour involving the use of hand and/or common labouring tools and operating mid-sized and specialized motorized operating equipment.

Requirements

  • Must possess a valid Class 5 driver's license (non-GDL), with a minimum of one (1) year driving experience required
  • Minimum of two (2) years forklift operating experience and/or relative equipment experience
  • Aptitude to perform heavy lifting and manual labour
  • Exceptional customer service, communication and time management skills
  • WHMIS Certification
  • Must have CSA approved steel toe work boots

Responsibilities

  • Adhering to all safety and environmental protection programs, policies and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Operating motorized equipment including, dump truck, scissor lift, forklift, skid steer, and mid-size commercial/farm tractors (up to 70HP).
  • Completing daily logs as directed, which may include vehicle inspections, vehicle sign outs, fuel logs and vehicle maintenance action sheets.
  • Performing heavy manual labour assignments ranging from: assisting with the setup for high profile events, digging trenches, moving furniture, setting up construction fences, hauling boxes, pulling garbage, pulling weeds, cutting lawns.
