About The Position

Performs a wide range of general maintenance, repair, and construction activities while maintaining and improving the park district’s resources and facilities. Leads work crews, assists with project planning, and monitors park district grounds as assigned.

Requirements

• Completion of secondary education (high school or GED).
• Two years of experience in the field of natural resources/parks; or related field experience in skilled or semi-skilled maintenance and repair experience, or experience in construction trades and operating heavy construction equipment, or equivalent.
• Experience with directing others, assigning work orders, scheduling, and purchasing.
• Must possess a valid Ohio driver’s license.
• Must undergo a background check.
• May be required to obtain a pesticide applicator’s license.
• May be required to obtain a valid Ohio commercial driver’s license of the appropriate class and with the appropriate endorsement(s).
• New employees cannot use tobacco.

• Two years of college in the field of natural resources, education, or related field preferred.
