About The Position

The Park Crew Leader performs manual work and supervises a crew of employees engaged in manual labor beautifying and maintaining the City of Edmond’s park grounds and facilities. The Hafer Park Crew Leader is assigned to the Hafer Park Landscape Maintenance Crew responsible for performing landscape maintenance operations in thirteen (13) East-side parks and related properties. As needed, the Park Crew Leader assists with performing the most skilled tasks.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 3 years of related experience and/or training Or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 12 to 18 months of management experience
• People and/or project management
• Valid Oklahoma Driver's License and a driving record acceptable to the City's insurance carrier
• Ability to meet the required physical standards for this position
• Ability to pass extensive background process and pre-employment drug, physical, and audio screenings

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Hafer Park Landscape Maintenance Crew
• Plan and organize daily work assignments
• Participate in all aspects of landscape maintenance tasks for the east-side Park Division
• Remove litter and complete janitorial duties
• Set up for special events
• Assist at the Cemetery (as needed)
• Assist with City art placement
• Complete facilities maintenance
• Repair equipment
• Maintain records
