About The Position

Associated Recreation Council (ARC) is seeking a Park Concierge to work in Seattle's beautiful parks. This role involves providing information to the public and supporting various Seattle Parks, ensuring they are welcoming and safe public spaces for all users. The position is full-time, non-exempt, and eligible for overtime. ARC partners with Seattle Parks and Recreation to offer licensed childcare and a variety of recreational and lifelong learning programs.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must be willing to work outside year-round
  • Ability to complete moderately physically demanding activities in an outdoor setting, including traversing 3-5 miles between locations
  • Ability to occasionally move or transport weight up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check

Responsibilities

  • Act as an information guide, answering questions about city destinations and events.
  • Assist with program and event management including set-up and take-down.
  • Perform event activation duties such as manage book and game carts, set up sound systems, staging, tents, etc.
  • Ensure event areas are clean and free of debris prior to scheduled event/activation and before departing the park.
  • De-escalate and redirect when issues arise with park patrons.
