About The Position

St. Patrick's Parish in Washington DC is hiring a part-time (18 hours per week) Outreach and Evangelization Coordinator. This role will report to the Pastor. The coordinator will develop and coordinate communications about parish programs, proactively inviting and encouraging participation among parishioners and interested guests. They will serve as a first point-of-contact for new parish registrations, adults seeking to enter the Catholic Church, and adult Catholics seeking catechetical formation and sacramental preparation. Responsibilities include regularly updating the parish website and online communications, organizing the OCIA program (including curriculum development, execution, sacramental needs, communication of expectations and dates, and recording of sacraments), creating and executing initiatives to build up the Body of Christ in downtown Washington, and assisting the pastor, staff, and volunteers in a mission-driven approach to evangelization, parish outreach, and building up the Body of Christ.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Proven success coordinating and building programs that further the spread of the Gospel
  • Organization

  • An ability to work and communicate with others in a fast-paced environment
  • Fidelity and love for the Catholic faith

Responsibilities
