About The Position

Under the direction of the Family & Community Support Services Manager, the Program Supervisor oversees parent education programs, including Family Preservation, PEI In-Home Parent Education, and POPS2 (father involvement support program). This role provides leadership to staff, may maintain a limited caseload, and partners with county agencies such as Child Welfare Services, Social Services, Probation, and Behavioral Health. The Program Supervisor monitors program performance, tracks outcomes and data, participates in collaborative community meetings, and ensures services effectively support families in achieving self-sufficiency in alignment with CAPSLO's mission.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Child Development, Human Services, Family Studies, Sociology, Psychology or related field.
  • At least two years’ experience working with families and children.
  • At least two years supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the parent education programs, including Family Preservation, PEI In-Home Parent Education, and POPS2.
  • Hires, trains, evaluates, and provides disciplinary action to staff.
  • Creates and updates program manuals, as needed. Ensures that staff are trained in their specific programs.
  • Provides direction to the FCSS Administrative Assistant and Data Analyst/Program Assistant with case assignments, program rosters, tracking data and outcomes, and assisting with reports.
  • Works with the FCSS Administrative Assistant and Data Analyst/Program Assistant with processing program paperwork.
  • Conducts regular meetings with staff to hold case review and provide guidance and support. Monitors, evaluates, and assists staff with case documentation, and timelines.
  • Assists staff with organizational and time management skills as needed.
  • Attends meetings and conferences to represent programs and build collaborative partners.
  • Conducts outreach for programs and attends events, as needed, to promote program services.
  • Coordinates holiday donations for clients served through FCSS.
  • Completes programmatic reports when needed and monthly board reports.
  • Assists FCSS Manager in developing policies and procedures.
  • Attends trainings that help increase skills and maintain knowledge of available community resources and services.
  • Carries a small caseload of clients, as needed.
