About The Position
New River Valley Community Services (NRVCS) is seeking a Parent Coach to join their team. This role involves providing part-time case management, coordination, skill-building, and education to caregivers/guardians involved with the Department of Social Services and other community systems. The Parent Coach will work closely with other NRVCS programs to deliver wrap-around care. NRVCS offers routine training opportunities and regular supervision to its staff.
Requirements
- High school diploma is required.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in human services, or a related field is preferred.
- At least one year of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, mental illness or substance use disorders is preferred.
- Experience working with adults, children, and families is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Deliver part-time case management and coordination.
- Provide skill building and education to caregivers/guardians.
- Work closely with other NRVCS programs in delivering wrap around care.
