About The Position

Find your future at Fastenal! Our distribution center is hiring energetic, team oriented individuals to work in our fast pace warehouse! Working as Full-time Parcel Freight Manager, you will manage the Parcel Freight department. The Parcel Freight department is responsible for packaging, manifesting and shipping customer orders via a 3rd party carrier. You will provide supervision and leadership to a team of employees. You will be responsible for the overall function of the department including short term and long term goals that pertain to quality, productivity and time management. Requirements

Possess at least 1 year of prior leadership or management work experience
Proficient written and oral communication skills
Knowledge of computer operations, including warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office Applications
Lead and motivate a team of employees
Work independently as well as in a team environment
Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
Willingness to work a flexible schedule/extra time as needed
Willingness to travel as needed
Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs
Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

Nice To Haves

Prior experience operating a forklift
Prior warehouse work experience
Possess a current full valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located (including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program for your state or province) as well as the ability to meet our driving record requirements to use a company vehicle, as needed
