About The Position
Ampersand Therapy is hiring a full-time Paraprofessional to support students in a K–12 school setting in Aurora, Colorado, during the 2026–2027 school year. The role provides direct support to students with academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs to help them access their education and succeed in the classroom. The schedule is 1.0 FTE, Monday through Friday, with a start date listed as ASAP for the 2026–2027 school year. Pay is up to $28 per hour.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong communication, patience, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow directions and support behavior and academic plans.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with children or individuals with special needs.
- School-based or paraprofessional experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one or small-group support to students in the classroom.
- Assist with implementing behavior plans and classroom strategies.
- Support students with academic tasks and daily routines.
- Help reinforce social, emotional, and communication skills.
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers.
- Assist with classroom management and maintaining a positive learning environment.
- Support students with transitions throughout the school day.
- Maintain basic documentation as needed.
