About The Position
The Cumberland School Department is seeking personnel to work with our students in the Extended School Year (ESY) Program. The program runs from July 6, 2026, through August 6, 2026, with no ESY on Fridays, and consists of morning sessions only. This role requires a Teacher Assistant/Paraprofessional Certification.
Requirements
- Teacher Assistant/Paraprofessional Certification.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of and experience with behavioral and emotional supports.
Responsibilities
- Assist in classroom duties under the supervision of the classroom teacher.
- Assist and supervise students during lunch and recess.
- Assist students in moving to different locations within the school building (e.g., bathroom).
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by the classroom teacher or ESY Coordinator.
- Work cooperatively as a member of a classroom team of professionals.
