About The Position

Harts Bluff is seeking a motivated, caring, and dedicated Paraprofessional with a genuine passion for working with students in Grades 6–12. The role supports students’ academic growth and development and helps them reach their full potential. The Paraprofessional provides instructional assistance under the direct supervision of a certified teacher and assists in preparing, conducting, and managing classroom activities.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED certificate.
Meet formal academic assessment requirements, hold an associate’s degree, or have completed two years of study at an institution of higher learning.
Valid Texas educational aide certificate.
Ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics.
Ability to work well with children.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Some experience working with children.

Responsibilities

Provide instruction to students under the direction of a teacher, working with individual students or small groups.
Assist the teacher in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays.
Assist with administering and scoring objective testing instruments or work assignments.
Help maintain a neat and orderly classroom.
Help with inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment.
Help the teacher keep administrative records and prepare required reports.
Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.
Supervise students throughout the school day, inside and outside the classroom, including lunchroom, bus, and playground duty.
Conduct instructional exercises assigned by the teacher, working with individual students or small groups.
Make the teacher aware of special needs or problems of individual students.
Participate in staff development training programs to improve job performance.
Participate in faculty meetings and special events as assigned.
Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
