Bancroft is hiring paraprofessionals at Bancroft School to support children and young adults with autism, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and behavioral challenges. Paraprofessionals help students develop communication, academic, and social skills, build independence and confidence, and work toward lifelong independence and community inclusion. The role involves providing encouragement, structure, and compassionate support, and collaborating with educators, therapists, and other specialists. Available shifts are 7:00 AM–3:00 PM and 8:00 AM–3:00 PM. Candidates must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of two years of direct support experience, preferably in an educational or classroom-based setting. All compassionate team members must be at least 18 years old and hold a current, non-provisional, non-probationary driver’s license in good standing. Bancroft describes the work as meaningful and team-oriented, while noting that daily activities vary and that redirecting aggressive behavior and providing intervention can be physically, mentally, and emotionally challenging.
