About The Position

Assists with the delivery of instruction, care, and discipline, and prepares instructional materials for pre-kindergarten students ages three, four, and/or five as directed by the classroom teacher. Helps provide a supportive learning environment. This is a temporary role needed from October 20, 2026, through November 6, 2026. The role includes classroom support, assisting with student needs, and working with teachers, administrators, and parents as directed. The employee must maintain student confidentiality and comply with District policies, program rules, and Colorado licensing requirements for Child Care Centers. Applicants must live and work in Colorado with a permanent home address while employed.

Requirements

Copy of a high school diploma or GED.
Successfully complete ECE 101 within a designated period after hire.
Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado while employed.
Ability, with or without accommodations, to meet the physical demands of the position.
Support racial and educational excellence and work to dismantle systems of oppression and inequity.

Responsibilities

Prepare instructional materials and assist with student instruction, care, and discipline.
Keep the classroom clean and well-organized.
Assist with field trips, parent meetings (including providing child care), and other classroom activities.
Plan and evaluate program and student needs with the teacher daily, and address specific student needs as identified by the teacher.
Communicate with teachers and administrators about performance and disciplinary issues.
Communicate with parents about routine issues as directed.
Attend and participate in required pre-service training programs and staff development meetings.
Maintain the confidentiality of student information.
Follow established District policies and procedures.
Comply with program rules and regulations, including State of Colorado licensing requirements for Child Care Centers.
