About The Position

The Paraprofessional supports teachers and school staff in providing a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment for students. Reporting to the principal or campus administrator, the Paraprofessional assists with classroom instruction, student supervision, and daily classroom operations. This role works closely with the classroom teacher to support student learning, reinforce instruction, and help maintain positive classroom culture. It requires a reliable, student-centered team member who builds positive relationships with students, supports diverse learners, and contributes to a well-organized and supportive classroom environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Alignment with SMART Management & BridgePrep Academy’s mission and values
Successful completion of a Level 2 background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse

Nice To Haves

Associate or bachelor's degree preferred

Responsibilities

Assist teachers with implementing lessons and instructional activities
Work with small groups or individual students to reinforce skills and concepts
Prepare instructional materials and classroom resources as directed by the teacher
Support students during classroom activities and learning centers
Support the teacher in maintaining consistent classroom routines
Reinforce schoolwide behavior expectations and positive behavior systems
Help ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment
Support diverse learners including ESE, 504, ELL, and intervention students
Assist students with completing assignments and staying engaged in learning
Provide supervision during transitions, lunch, recess, or other school activities as assigned
Attend and actively participate in meetings, PD, and coaching sessions
Follow direction and guidance from the classroom teacher and school leadership
Complete assigned duties and responsibilities in a timely and reliable manner
Uphold all school policies, procedures and professional expectations
