About The Position
Under the supervision of the immediate supervisor Pool Paraprofessionals are responsible for swimming pool operation, safety, and supervision of the students.
Requirements
- High School Education Diploma or G.E.D required.
- Valid Life Guard License.
- Valid CPR Certification.
- Valid AED Certification.

- One year experience with children
Responsibilities
- Understands and applies the rules and regulations in the swimming pool area.
- Assists with evaluation of environmental hazards.
- Uses lifesaving equipment professionally and safely.
- Assists with bather and crowd control.
- Implements the pool safety plan in case of emergencies.
- Dresses appropriately and professionally in pool area.
- Assists with direct supervision of all bathers in providing a safe environment.
- Records daily pool attendance for Health Department records.
- Responsible for preparing the Physical Plant for instruction.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
