About The Position

The Paraprofessional Team Lead provides daily leadership, oversight, coaching, and operational support to paraprofessional staff across assigned Behavioral Health programs. This position ensures high-quality service delivery, consistent performance expectations, and adherence to agency policies, regulatory standards, and person-centered practices. The Team Lead maintains a small caseload to remain connected to workflow needs, supports multidisciplinary collaboration, and helps standardize processes that enhance program efficiency and client outcomes.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience working with children and/or families (Family Services) OR 1–3 years relevant experience with adults/children with MH/SUD needs (CCBHC)
  • Must meet age requirement (21+ for Family Services; 18+ for CCBHC)
  • Clean driving record and reliable transportation
  • Completion of background checks and registry clearances
  • Employees are required to maintain training, licenses, and certifications per regulatory and agency requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily direction, communication, and support to paraprofessional staff.
  • Evaluate processes and recommend improvements to enhance operations and service delivery.
  • Provide ongoing performance feedback, coaching, and support.
  • Ensure staff receive adequate training and resources.
  • Collaborate with supervisor to address employee relations concerns.
  • Promote a high-quality, positive, and motivating work environment.
  • Assist Associate Directors with paraprofessional operations oversight.
  • Monitor job performance and track KPIs regularly.
  • Participate in special projects within Behavioral Health.
  • Establish and maintain procedures aligned with organizational standards.
  • Communicate department and employee concerns to leadership appropriately.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and timely record-keeping.
  • Maintain cooperative working relationships with agency staff and external partners.
  • Attend supervision, training, and fulfill annual training requirements.
  • Follow program policies and procedures, demonstrating flexibility in scheduling.
  • Protect confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and CFR 42.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Oversee all Children’s Respite Providers, including supervision and support.
  • Receive referrals for children needing respite; complete intake and needs assessments.
  • Match youth with appropriate respite providers.
  • Maintain communication with families regarding placement; facilitate initial meetings with families, youth, and providers.
  • Conduct outreach to potential providers and families.
  • Support families with housing, financial, and parenting challenges as needed.
  • Develop and implement family-driven service plans in collaboration with referral sources.
  • Schedule and attend home visits with at-risk families.
  • Provide education, support, behavior plans, goals, objectives, and resource linkage.
  • Track all documentation, notes, and timesheets; enter monthly hours and complete billing.
  • Maintain accurate case records and locked documentation for families and providers.
  • Manage petty cash processes and complete mileage forms when applicable.
  • Provide supervision and clinical/administrative support to PRS, Peer Support, and TCM staff across outpatient sites.
  • Ensure services align with CCBHC requirements for care coordination, person-centered planning, and whole-person care.
  • Support rehabilitation interventions that promote skill development, community integration, independence, and recovery.
  • Carry a small caseload to remain engaged with workflow, service delivery, and patient needs.
  • Provide rehabilitative interventions to support self-management, coping skills, daily living skills, and relapse reduction.
  • Assist in developing meaningful life roles and goals through person-centered planning.
  • Offer support with stress management, trauma triggers, coping alternatives, symptom management, and free-time skills.
  • Assist individuals with navigation of transportation, financial management, wellness, social skills, and community integration.
  • Support efforts related to competitive employment.
  • Provide psychoeducation to support community tenure and reduce restrictive placements.
  • Teach and reinforce daily living skills, wellness strategies, and emotional/behavioral management.
  • Support autonomy, coping strategies, and personal development.
  • Collaborate with collaterals with appropriate consent.
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with CCBHC standards.
  • Complete required trainings and communicate with supervisor regularly.
