About The Position
The job of Paraprofessional - Special Education is done for the purpose/s of providing support to the special education program within assigned classroom with specific responsibility for assisting in the instruction of individual or small groups of students in a variety of subject areas and providing individualized learning experiences to encourage academic excellence; assisting in the implementation of a behavior modification program; monitoring and reporting student behavior and performance; providing information to appropriate school personnel; and performing a variety of clerical duties as assigned.
Requirements
- If you are NOT currently or never have been a Paraprofessional for VUSD, you must include proof of one of the following: Two years of college (48 units) or A. A. degree (or higher) or Paraprofessional Exam
- Must be able to pass the Strength and Agility test
- Criminal Background Check
- Tuberculosis Test

Please note: we do accept certificates or scores on exams from other verifiable agencies and they do not expire. We do not accept online exams.
