About The Position

This is a one-year substitute position for a Special Education Paraprofessional, working 30 hours per week. The role involves assisting students individually, in small groups, or in large groups, using various strategies and techniques to present or reinforce learning. The position is located in Peabody, a diverse urban center on the Northshore of Boston, which aims to prepare students for lifelong learning and critical thinking in a changing world. Requirements

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
CPI training (crisis prevention intervention training) must be successfully completed in the Paraprofessionals first year
A high school diploma or equivalent; and an Associate's degree (or higher); or completion of 48 credit hours at an Institution of Higher Education; or completion of a formal Massachusetts endorsed assessment: Parapro or WorkKeys.
Ability to use or willingness to learn appropriate technology
Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.
