About The Position

This is a Paraprofessional position for Kindergarten Educational support, working from August through May when students are in session. The role involves supporting professional staff in meeting the individual needs of children, actively engaging in learning experiences, and performing routine classroom management and maintenance duties. The position requires the ability to work as a team member and follow the direction of specialists/teachers. The employee will be expected to be actively interacting with children, including being "down on the floor" with them. This is a 10-month position with 185 duty days, working 7.0 hours per day, Monday through Friday.

Requirements

An Associate's degree, OR completion of 48 semester hours or 72 quarter hours at an institution of higher learning, OR demonstrated proficiency in the ability to assist in the instruction of reading, writing and mathematics via state or locally approved competency test.
Evidence of good mental and physical health.
Dependable with good work attendance record.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
