The Bilingual Paraprofessional provides native language instructional supports to English language learners (ELLs) under the direct guidance of the classroom teacher and ERT (ESOL Resource Teacher). The Bilingual Paraprofessional also provides native language supports to the parents and families of English language learners, including parent involvement and community outreach activities. Responsibilities also include assisting with or as needed, administering the testing, identification, and annual reevaluation of ELLs, including completion of the related documentation. The Bilingual Paraprofessional also supports the full-time equivalency (FTE) collection process and all monitoring/auditing conducted by the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) and/or the United States Department of Education (USDOE).
