About The Position

This position aims to assist school personnel in consistently implementing behavior support plans for children with severe behavior impairments. The role involves upholding school rules, participating in school operations, respecting confidentiality, and fostering positive student attitudes.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent (GED) and academic competency in basic skills.
For Title I or Title I Targeted Assistance Program Schools Only: a. Must hold an Associate’s Degree (or) b. Have completed a minimum of 48 semester hours of study at a regionally accredited institution of higher education. (or) c. Have successfully completed the Alabama State Board of Education approved WORKKEYS test.
Adequate strength and dexterity to perform all required tasks including lifting, stooping, and bending.
Ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships.
Certified or willing to become certified as a trainer in Prevention and Management of Aggressive Behavior.
Ability to follow and provide oral or written instructions.
Adequate strength and dexterity to perform all required tasks, including lifting a minimum of 100 pounds, restraining and running.
