Paraprofessional / Behavior Technician (BT) / Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
About The Position
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a dedicated Paraprofessional, Behavior Technician (BT), or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide individualized 1:1 support within an intensive special education program. This role focuses on supporting a high-needs student by delivering academic assistance and implementing structured behavioral interventions in a supportive school environment. The ideal candidate is patient, dependable, and experienced in working with students who require specialized behavioral and educational support. This opportunity includes Extended School Year (ESY) services and continues into the upcoming academic year.
Requirements
- Experience working in special education, behavioral support, or similar settings
- Ability to implement behavior plans with consistency and accuracy
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Patient, adaptable, and student-focused approach
Nice To Haves
- BT or RBT certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide consistent 1:1 support within a structured intensive program setting
- Implement behavior intervention plans under supervision
- Assist with academic activities, engagement, and classroom participation
- Support students’ social, emotional, and behavioral development
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of progress and behaviors
- Collaborate with educators, therapists, and multidisciplinary staff
- Ensure a safe, structured, and positive learning environment
- Complete all required student-specific and program training
