About The Position

The Paraplanner position supports our Lead Advisors by assisting with the creation of financial plans and learning firm-specific procedures and processes, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality client service. Key responsibilities include preparing detail-oriented financial plans, conducting investment research and analysis, and collaborating with team members. The Paraplanner reports to and is employed/contracted by the Financial Advisor. This is a full time role that and requires you to be in the office 5 days per week.

Requirements

  • Securities (6/63, 7/66, or 7/63 & 65) and Life, Health, and Annuity registration required
  • Demonstrated customer service orientation/experience, 2+ years preferred
  • Extremely strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Technical computer aptitude and knowledge of business tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce) or ability to learn
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain a high quality of work while experiencing frequent interruptions
  • Ability to maintain integrity of sensitive/confidential information

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Financial Planning, Finance, Accounting or Economics preferred
  • Experience in What If Tax and MoneyGuidePro is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and update detail-oriented and accurate financial plans and presentation materials for client meetings
  • Gather and enter information into financial planning software and prepare draft financial plans
  • Gather and maintain customer suitability information
  • Assist in generating and reviewing client portfolio performance reports
  • Enter and maintain information across various systems, including CRM system (Salesforce) and financial planning software, ensuring data integrity and up-to-date documentation
  • Identify and share ideas to improve workflows, processes, and internal procedures to create positive client experiences
  • Complete necessary forms for opening and maintaining accounts
  • Handle request for transfers of funds in and out of accounts
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills by managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines while working independently
  • Maintain professionalism, discretion, and a client-first mindset when handling sensitive client information
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by the Lead Advisor
