Provides obstetrical patient care under the direction of a physician, certified nurse, midwife, and, or registered nurse. Requirements

  • One (1) year experience as a Paramedic required.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with keeping operating rooms and the triage clean, stocked, and orderly.
  • Assists physicians and nurses with performing medical procedures, obstetrical surgical procedures and resuscitation.
  • Performs technical procedures as delegated, including establishing IV access, performing ECGs and vital signs/telemetry monitoring, collecting specimens, providing wound care, and transporting patients.
  • Reports abnormal assessment findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to medical and nursing staff.
