About The Position

Imagine Pediatrics is a tech-enabled, pediatrician-led medical group focused on reimagining care for children with special healthcare needs. They provide 24/7 virtual and in-home medical, behavioral, and social care, collaborating with families, providers, and health plans to improve access to quality care. The role involves enhancing existing care teams by offering additional support with compassion and creativity, specifically for children with medical complexity. The schedule for this role is Monday to Friday, 10:00 am - 6:00 pm local time.

Requirements

  • EMT-Paramedic with an active license in the state of Florida and/or Nationally Registered Paramedic (NREMT).
  • PALS, ACLS, and BLS certifications required.
  • 3+ years of field clinical experience.
  • Driver’s license and good driving record.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Strong critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Effective collaboration skills.
  • Experience and ability to identify opportunities to build trust through delivering clinical and social impact.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Experience and ability to use and navigate multiple technology platforms in care delivery.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with pediatric patients.
  • Experience in non-traditional Paramedic roles such as: critical care, primary care, tele-health, community paramedicine, mobile integrated healthcare, emergency room, or value-based care delivery.
  • Bilingual Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate in-home delivery of episodic and longitudinal care in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.
  • Travel to members’ homes or community locations to address acute and episodic medical, behavioral, and social needs.
  • Work closely as a member of an integrated care team to provide high-quality, compassionate, and skilled care to pediatric members and their families.
  • Assist with urgent needs for members under the direct guidance of a physician.
  • Engage in clinical intake visits for new members.
  • Engage with members recently discharged from inpatient admission or the Emergency Department to prevent readmission and identify/solve root causes.
