Paramedic, PRN Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together. Work hours: PRN, Days. Hours are from 11a-11p, 12 hour shifts. Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Required
  • 3 months paramedic experience or completion of a paramedic internship Required
  • EMT-P - Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic Upon Hire Required Or LP - Licensed Paramedic Upon Hire Required
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days Required
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support 90 Days Required
  • CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Required
  • Possesses organizational skills to function in a fast paced environment, positive interpersonal skills, good verbal and written communication skills, able to perform basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 Year paramedic experience in EMS or fire department Preferred

  • Performs technical skills that are adapted to reflect the population-specific and developmental needs of the patient.
  • Provides safe patient care under the delegation of appropriate Physician and competency sign-off. All clinical activities are delegated and conducted under direct physician supervision.
  • Actively participates in the Shared Governance model at unit, entity, and/or system level; actively engages in finding solutions for unit, division and/or entity concerns or issues; uses multiple available tools to stay informed of changes, updates and communications; demonstrates the ability to respectfully listen to others' opinions; Collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to promote safe individualized care.
  • Delivery of high quality of patient care through nursing education, nursing research and innovations in nursing practice.
