About The Position

ProMedica Transportation Network is seeking a full-time Paramedic to join their Mobile ICU team at the Air Mobile Fremont Station. This position operates on a 12-hour day shift from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. The Paramedic will practice within their scope of practice, collaborate with other health team members, and ensure a safe, therapeutic, and efficient patient care environment. Responsibilities include assessing and treating patient care needs in the field or at transferring facilities, maintaining PTN vehicles in a constant state of readiness and cleanliness, and documenting vehicle and equipment checks every shift. The role requires flexibility, independent decision-making, effective communication, and the ability to maintain composure in stressful situations.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent
Must interact well with people and be flexible in assuming a variety of tasks in a hospital and pre-hospital setting.
Ability to work independently and make decisions away from the controlled hospital environment.
Must be able to understand directions, communicate and respond to inquiries; requires effective interpersonal skills.
Must be able to communicate effectively and have excellent public relations skills.
Must be able to maintain composure and utilize tact in stressful situations.
Must be able to input and retrieve information from computer.
Must be able to read maps and follow directions.
Must be a certified EMT Paramedic (EMT-P) in the State of Ohio.
Michigan licensure must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
Valid drivers license in the state in which you will work and a clean driving record, as demonstrated by an MVR in order to be covered under the Company’s insurance policy.

Responsibilities

Practices within the scope of practice for appropriate state certification under medical supervision.
Demonstrates appropriate assessment skills in following established patient care protocols and collaborates with other health team members.
Practices within their scope of practice as defined by the appropriate State certification and shall be accountable for their actions.
Provide a safe, therapeutic, and efficient patient care environment through collaboration with other disciplines.
Supports and adheres to the State of Ohio, Michigan, ProMedica Health System and ProMedica Transportation Network policies and procedures.
Assist in assessment and treatment of patient care needs in the field or at the transferring medical facility, and ensures the patient needs are met, reassessed, and treated constantly until the patient is delivered to designated treatment facility.
Maintain PTN vehicles in a constant state of readiness and cleanliness.
Document checks of PTN vehicles and equipment every shift.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
