About The Position

Superior Ambulance Service is hiring Paramedics for openings in Allen Park, Detroit, Northville, Southfield, Taylor, Troy, and Warren. Paramedics provide safe transportation and quality medical care to sick and injured individuals within the scope of state EMS regulations. The company serves emergency and scheduled medical transports and also provides critical care, helicopter, and fixed-wing emergency medical transportation. The Paramedic provides appropriate care within their training, assesses patients, communicates their condition to medical professionals, documents patient care and billing information, transports patients safely and efficiently, and maintains the ambulance in sanitary and operational condition. The role requires the ability to operate a vehicle in varied conditions, including at night and in inclement weather.

Requirements

NREMT certification or a current state license; a pending license may be accepted.
Ability to provide medical care at the EMT or Paramedic level while safely transporting patients.
Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
Ability to safely operate a vehicle in daytime, nighttime, and inclement weather.
Pass a pre-employment interview, physical and lifting examination, drug screen, and background check.
Attend company-provided training and driving course.

Responsibilities

Provide appropriate patient care within Paramedic training.
Provide safe and efficient transportation, using map-reading skills and the ability to identify street names, house numbers, and business addresses.
Assess patients and accurately communicate their condition to other medical professionals.
Prepare accurate written reports describing the patient's condition, medical history, and treatment provided.
Provide appropriate billing documentation.
Maintain the vehicle in sanitary condition and monitor fluid levels and gauges.
