About The Position
The Paramedic will be responsible for providing Basic Life Support (BLS) patient care, Advanced Life Support (ALS) patient care, and ambulance transportation.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- One year of related experience
- Working knowledge of standard practices and procedures
- Paramedic
- ACLS Certification
- Driver's License
- Healthcare Provider (CPR)
- Knowledge of Emergency clinical practices and protocol
- Knowledge of Use of medical and related emergency equipment
- Knowledge of Local geography
- Georgia Paramedic License required
- Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable motor vehicle record.
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a motor vehicle record (MVR) check and meeting insurability requirements.
- A minimum of two (2) years of driving experience is required.
Responsibilities
- Providing Basic Life Support (BLS) patient care
- Providing Advanced Life Support (ALS) patient care
- Providing ambulance transportation
- Act calmly and quickly in emergencies
- Work independently as part of a team, sometimes alongside emergency fire and police units
- Create and maintain a positive and cooperative working environment in stressful situations
- Work during odd hours and for extended periods, sometimes outdoors and in adverse weather conditions
- Work with much standing, bending and kneeling
- Work with a partner in lifting patients whose weight occasionally exceeds 200 pounds
- Avoid or minimize health risks from exposure to ill patients
- Exercising judgment, dexterity, and physical coordination
- Preparing clear and concise reports
- Driving emergency vehicles
