About The Position

Community Health Network has an excellent opportunity available within our EMS Department at Community Howard Regional Health in Kokomo, Indiana. This role offers the unique opportunity to provide patient care in both the pre-hospital setting and the Emergency Department, delivering a diverse and rewarding blend of field-based and hospital-based experience. The Paramedic functions as an EMS Department team member, assisting the registered nurse (RN and physician with basic patient care, as well as, Advanced Cardiac Life Support care.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Current Paramedic License to practice as a Paramedic in the State of Indiana.
Valid Driver's License required.
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) required.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required.
Certified Paramedic Certifications/Licensures required.
If not currently certified in Indiana, out-of-state paramedics must have valid registration, and pass practical and written exams within 60 days of hire to be certified in Indiana.
Emergency Vehicle Operator Course (EVOC) required within one year of hire.

Nice To Haves

One (1) year of experience working as a Paramedic, EMT, or ED Technician is preferred.

Responsibilities

Providing patient care in both the pre-hospital setting and the Emergency Department.
