Requirements

Three years EMS field experience with at least two of these three years working as a Paramedic on an ambulance.
High School Diploma or GED
Current Colorado State EMT- P Certified
Current BLS/ACLS/PALS certified
Valid Colorado driver’s license within 30 days of hire
All certificates and requirements must remain current to accept a conditional offer of employment.

Responsibilities

Respond promptly to emergency calls to provide high-quality pre-hospital care, including advanced life support (ALS) and basic life support (BLS) interventions.
Assess the nature and extent of illness or injury and establish priorities for emergency care based on clinical assessment and standard medical protocols.
Administer medications, perform advanced airway management, interpret EKGs, and use defibrillators and other specialized medical equipment in accordance with local and state protocols.
Safely transport patients to appropriate medical facilities while continuously monitoring and managing their condition en route.
Communicate effectively with patients, family members, and healthcare providers to ensure accurate transfer of medical information and compassionate care.
Complete detailed, accurate patient care reports and other required documentation in a timely and compliant manner.
Maintain the cleanliness, readiness, and proper functioning of ambulances, equipment, and supplies through regular checks and inventory control.
Collaborate with other emergency services, including fire and law enforcement, to ensure coordinated and effective scene management.
Participate in ongoing training, continuing education, and quality improvement programs to maintain certification and enhance clinical skills.
Adhere to all organizational policies, local/state EMS regulations, and safety protocols to ensure the highest standard of patient care and personal safety.
