About The Position

Elite Staffing Network is seeking Paramedics for Temporary full-time positions in support of the Nevada Test and Training Range at Mike O'Callaghan Military Medical Center, Nellis AFB, NV. The work may include providing a full range of EMT services, maintaining proficiency in ambulance radio equipment, providing necessary medical care during transport, controlling and disposing of medical waste, restocking and cleaning vehicles and equipment, ensuring ambulance safety and functionality, documenting treatment, rapidly stabilizing patients according to protocols, lifting and delivering patients, administering medical treatments, and carrying patient records. A primary mission involves providing medical support for detonation operations involving live munitions on the Nevada Test and Training Range, with Medical Group duties being secondary. The Paramedic must be able to travel to support Northern Range Operations.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited NREMT program.
  • Possess and maintain certification as an NREMT-P or National Registered Paramedic (NRP) from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT).
  • Must possess a current ambulance driver's license.
  • Must possess current BLS/ALS/PALS certifications.
  • One year of experience as an EMT, NREMT, NRAEMT or NRP after graduation.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be eligible to obtain a SECRET security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a full range of EMT services within the MTF and supported geographical area.
  • Maintain proficiency in the operation of the ambulance radio equipment.
  • Monitor and operate ambulance radio equipment as required by the circumstances.
  • Provide the patient with the necessary and appropriate medical care, consistent with ambulance equipment and supplies, and personnel certification, training, and experience during transport.
  • Control and properly dispose of all medical waste incurred during transport.
  • Conduct routine restocking, cleaning, and disinfection of the vehicle, equipment, and supplies.
  • Ensure the ambulances are safe to operate, sanitary, and properly functioning.
  • Document all treatment provided to the patient during the patient transport.
  • Rapidly stabilizing the patient, according to Advance Life Support (ALS) protocol and EMS written protocols.
  • Lift, place, and deliver patients to the receiving destinations for medical care.
  • Place patients on monitors, administer needles, IVs, oxygen, or dressings.
  • Carry patient records or baggage/belongings to the destination for patient care.
  • Redress patient's wounds.
  • Provide medical support for detonation operations involving live munitions.
  • Provide support during intentional detonation operations involving high explosive munitions IAW AFMAN 32-3001.
  • Travel to support Northern Range Operations (TTR-CA).
