About The Position

Lumexa Imaging is one of the country's largest providers of outpatient medical imaging, with over 5,000 team members and more than 185 outpatient imaging centers across 13 states, conducting over 4 million outpatient studies annually. They partner with health systems and radiologists, offering clinical excellence, operations, and state-of-the-art technology. Touchstone Medical Imaging is seeking a full-time Paramedic to work onsite in Flower Mound, TX, to facilitate contrast injections. In the event of an adverse patient reaction (contrast reaction, infiltration, or a situation requiring a radiologist), the Paramedic is expected to immediately use Teams audio/video to alert the supervising radiologist, who will assist with patient assessment and treatment instructions, including medication administration. The on-site contractor is also responsible for calling 911 when necessary.

Requirements

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Previous experience as a certified EMT or Paramedic
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Provides documentation of Certificate of Liability Insurance and current medical license
Completes MRI Safety Screening form
Review of Emergency Response and MRI Safety training

Responsibilities

Facilitate contrast injections.
Immediately use the Teams audio/video functionality to alert the supervising radiologist if confronted with an adverse event (contrast reaction, infiltration or situation that requires the radiologist).
Ensure 911 has been called when necessary.
